Victim of horror Newport Pagnell collision is named

A 64-year-old mum was tragically killed by a car while she was out walking with her daughter and dog.

Ann Waters was walking along Westbury Lane in Newport Pagnell when the horror collision occurred just after 8pm on Friday evening.

The grey Vauxhall Mokka was travelling in the same direction, say police.

Mrs Waters, who lived in Newport Pagnell, was killed instantly.

Her daughter and the dog were uninjured.

The driver of the Vauxhall was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving while over the prescribed alcohol limit.

He has been released under investigation.

Police are appealing for witnesses, particularly any drivers with dashcam footage, to contact them on 101, quoting reference number 1443 (6/4).
