A tea party whisked guests back to the 1940’s era during a Rotary fundraiser.
The Rotary Club of the Brickhills hosted the successful themed event which was enjoyed by around 60 guests, with many getting into the spirit by dressing up in vintage style.
A traditional tea of sandwiches, scones and cakes were served whle guests listened to Jessica Willis singing 1940’s songs, accompanied by Phil Richardson on keyboard.
The party was held at Bow Brickhill Pavilion and also featured a talk about Bletchley Park from volunteer Helen Seddon.
A raffle, drawn by Milton Keynes South MP Iain Stewart, rounded off the afternoon which raised £800 for The Literacy In A Box Trust, a Rotary charity which sends classroom equipment out to schools in Zambia, Zimbabwe and the Philippines.
