An adventure in poetry is in store at the tranquil setting of Westbury Arts Centre over the Easter weekend.

Beastly Boys and Ghastly Girls - A Poetry Adventure is the title of the event on Saturday, March 31, when the centre in Foxcovert Road will open its doors for a fun family day, from 11am until 4pm.

There will be lots to do with dramatised poetry readings, children’s poetry themed activities, an Easter egg trail, competition and workshop.

A centre spokeswoman said: “The event is set in the grounds of WAC, a quiet haven within Milton Keynes. The arts centre itself is a charity established since 2013 with a mission to be a creative community that engages people of all ages and abilities in active discovery and exploration of the arts, heritage and local environment.

“The vision of the centre is to work and collaborate with local organisations and individuals to put on exhibitions and events throughout the year. The centre is also home to 18 resident artists who practice a variety of art forms.

The centre is run mainly by volunteers and new helpers are always welcome. If you are interested email admin@westburyartscentre.co.uk and visit www.westburyartscentre.co.uk
