Whether you wish to volunteer on a regular or one off basis there is something for everyone to get involved in.

Trail Blazers: Volunteer Mentors: Trail Blazers recruits and trains volunteers from all walks of life to become mentors and skills trainers to young offenders aged 18 to 21. They aim to reduce the risk of reoffending by working with young offenders on building self- awareness, confidence, and self-esteem and helping them to develop changes in attitude and behaviour. They need individuals who can make a weekly commitment for a minimum of 12 months to train.

On successful completion of a three day initial training, you will be matched with a young offender in Aylesbury Young Offenders Institution, six months prior to their release. You will then meet for an hour each week and, using Tool Sets from the training, you will support the mentee with making plans, improving relationships, and helping them to assert themselves and learn to manage their finances.

Prostate Cancer UK: Football League Fundraising Volunteer: Prostate Cancer UK is The Football League’s official charity partner for the 2013/14.

As part of the partnership, it has been given the opportunity to fundraise at all 60 Football League Grounds during March and April 2014.

To help Prostate Cancer UK they need an army of bucket shakers at each of the stadiums before kick off to help raise funds and raise awareness amongst fans. You will be collecting for up to two hours until kick-off.

Volunteers need good communication skills, an outgoing personality, enthusiasm and enjoy meeting and chatting to people

Football League Fundraising Volunteer Leader: A Volunteer Leader is needed to supervise the bucket shaking volunteers, and will be their main point of contact on the day.

Tasks include meeting with volunteers at the designated meeting point, give out buckets, branded clothing, and literature and agree the specific collection point for each of the team members.

They will also collect in the buckets and other materials at the end of the day, before returning them to your designated contact, count and bank all monies and supervise the volunteers during the collection and ensure that everything runs smoothly.

Prostate Cancer UK will be collecting for up to two hours before kick off onMarch 15 from 12.30 to 3pm for the MK Dons v Peterborough game.
