A HEAVILY pregnant woman had her purse stolen as she walked in Wavendon on Wednesday.
The 20-year-old woman, was in Stockwell Lane at about 6.15pm when a man snatched her purse from her hand.
The woman managed to stop a passing car and the woman driving the car confronted the man, who then fled from the scene. The Good Samaritan then took the woman home, where she called the police.
A 21-year-old man was later arrested in connection with the incident and has been bailed until April 5.
Detective Constable Mark Smyth said: “I am keen to trace the woman that came to the aid of our victim and speak with her about what she saw. Unfortunately, we don’t have a description of the Good Samaritan, or the vehicle she was driving.
“However, the person who helped will know who they are, and I would urge them to come forward.”
Anyone with information should contact Det Con Smyth via the 24-hour Thames Valley Police Enquiry Line on 101.
