A war of words at tournament

Players from across the country crossed words across a Scrabble board at the Milton Keynes Open Scrabble tournament on Saturday.

Forty-eight players, some from as far as away as Scotland and Bristol, competed in two divisions, each playing seven games throughout the day at the Ridgeway Community Centre, North Furzton, in the first one-day tournament organised by Milton Keynes Scrabble Club.

Craig Solomons, from London, who won all seven games in Division A, took home prize money of £80. Rosalind Wilson, from Luton, who won all seven games in Division B, received prize money of £70.
