Watch music legend David Bowie perform at the Bowl

Fans from across the globe are today paying tribute to legendary rock artist David Bowie who has died at the age of 69.

Described by many as the one of most influential musicians of all time, the singer lost his 18-month battle with cancer yesterday.

It was back in 1990 that David Bowie last visited Milton Keynes to perform in front of more than 60,000 fans at the Bowl.

He said it was the last time he would perform his hit songs of the past 30 years.

Leighton Buzzard was also host to the rock legend when he played The Bossard Hall on May 2, 1967.

Bowie also appeared as Ziggy Stardust in nearby Dunstable at the Queensway Hall on June 21, 1972.
