Shoppers are being called upon to help shape the future of Central Milton Keynes - but there is just two weeks left to have your say.
intu Milton Keynes has applied for planning permission to build a multi-million pound retail and leisure development by 2019.
Bosses hope to create a new dining area, additional shops, and a five-screen boutique cinema, as well as green public spaces and better routes linking intu to centre:mk.
On September 3, Milton Keynes Council will consider the plans - and new general manager Shelley Peppard hopes shoppers will get behind intu by sending emails of support.
She said: “The most important thing is we’re not going to do more of the same.
“The people who live here want something different, so it is about creating something new - not just filling it with pizza and pasta restaurants.”
intu is currently in talks with “smaller restaurant chains” - although they cannot yet reveal which brands could be on their way to the city.
However, Shelley hopes that with help from the council, intu can help to encourage evening visitors to the city.
She said: “Milton Keynes doesn’t have much of a night time econmy yet it regards itself as a city - it should feel like somewhere you can come to in the evening.
“We are excited about moving the place on and making it more exciting for everyone.”
