This Friday everyone in Milton Keynes is invited to wear a rugby shirt to work, school or simply around town.
It’s part of a Milton Keynes initiative created to raise awareness of rugby and start conversations about the sport in a bid to encourage new players and supporters joining our local clubs of MK, Bletchley and Olney.
Don the colours of your country, your favourite professional team, your local club or even dig out your old school or college rugby shirt next Friday.
To show off a little, you can tweet pictures with the hashtag #lovemkrugby – there will be prizes of rugby balls to the workplace and school with the most people in rugby shirts on the day.
Friday, September 18, is the opening day of RWC2015 with England kicking off against Fiji at Twickenham.
MK is proud to host the Fiji and Samoa national teams and three World Cup matches at stadiummk on 1, 3 and 6 October.
The very same day is also Jeans for Genes Day so you could team your rugby shirt up with your jeans - and make a small donation to www.jeansforgenesday.org/donate.
