Visitors to the neonatal unit at Milton Keynes University Hospital will receive a warm and friendly welcome thanks to the creative efforts of students at the Webber Independent School.
Youngsters had their pens and pencils at the ready earlier this year when they were invited to design some new artwork for the doors at the entrance, following various fundraising activities.
The winning entry, created by Lola de Gorter, has now been installed and pupils and hospital staff alike are thrilled with the vivid design.
Neonatal unit manager Karen Rice said: “This has been a very exciting project for us and it has made a big difference to everyone who comes onto the unit. Thanks to the Webber Independent School for continuing to support us!”
Lola added: “I am delighted to be able to support the neonatal unit in this unique way and be able to offer some benefit to the local families who use it.”
Each year, around 390 babies are admitted onto the unit, which cares for babies born too early, too small or very ill. To support the neonatal unit through fundraising contact Alison Marlow on 01908 996218 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
