A wheel clamp, motor-vehicle parts and 20 bags of junk - Milton Keynes villagers rid the area of rubbish

On Saturday morning a group of 12 people from Simpson village embarked on a litter pick in the area - with great results!

The event, organised by Simpson Garden Group and supported by MK Council, concentrated on the area between the Grand Union Canal and Marlborough Street.
By the time the cleaning sprint was over, they had collected 20 bags of rubbish of all sorts including a wheel clamp, an old cycle wheel, discarded motor-vehicle parts and lots of other junk abandoned in the village.

It was the second major litter-pick organised by the Garden Group who spend every Monday morning tending various community garden areas in the parish and who do regular small litter-picks to keep the village tidy.
