An appeal has been launched to help a city teen follow his sporting dreams.
Luke Brown, 17, is an aspiring wheelchair footballer, and is due to receive a specialist wheelchair worth £4,324. But the charity providing it, Caudwell Children, needs urgent help.
The teenager suffers from Friedreich’s Ataxia, a condition which causes him to have severely weakened muscles. Despite being a full time wheelchair user, his conditions means he requires a specialist wheelchair to play.
Luke’s mother, Karen Brown, saidd “It’s so important that charities like Caudwell Children exist. Without their support I don’t know what we would do.”
