Pride in Milton Keynes is an annual event designed to celebrate and reward those people who make our community a happier place.

It recognises the achievements of special people within our area; those who have gone out of their way to help others, those who have overcome hardship and those who support a positive attitude within our community.

Last year’s winners included the Henry Allen Appeal, a charity set up by the parents of a four-year-old boy with neuroblastoma.

Fundraiser of the Year was Katie Elmer, who has raised thousands to help bereaved parents after losing her baby daughter to Trisomy 18.

And Friendly neighbour was won by Ian Wright, whose public spirited nature has made him popular on Fishermead.
