This year the Wishing Pool at thecentre:mk Christmas display will support Willen Hospice.
Every year thousands of pounds are raised for local charities with its Wishing Pool fund which has raised £390,000 since 1985.
Willen Hospice is the only hospice in Milton Keynes and the surrounding area and covers a population of 300,000. The money from the Wishing Pool will go to the Willen Hospice’s Young People’s Support Service.
It provides the help and emotional support for children and young people living with bereavement.
Sue Anderson-Brown, Centre Director, said: “Choosing one beneficiary from a group of worthy applicants proved to be a difficult task for the team at thecentre:mk, but we are happy to announce the happy news this week and making Willen Hospice’s Christmas wishes come true.”
Previous beneficiaries from the Wishing Pool have included Age UK Milton Keynes, MK Reader Service, MK Wildlife Trust, MK Community Cardiac Group, RSPCA, MK Snap and MK Play Association.
