Witness appeal after bookmakers robbery

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses after a robbery at a bookmakers in Broughton.

At around 9.10pm on Saturday, April 14, a man went into Corals in Tanfield Lane, and told a member of staff to remove money from the till. The member of staff noticed that he was holding what was believed to be a Stanley knife or similar tool and put a small sum of cash into a container for him.

After leaving the bookmakers it is believed that the man headed down Oakworth Avenue.

He is white, in his early twenties, 5ft 8ins tall and of medium build, wearing a beige or cream baseball cap, a beige scarf, a dark grey jacket, dark grey tracksuit bottoms and white trainers.
