Police are appealing for witnesses to a vicious assault in New Bradwell.

The incident took place between 10pm and 10.20pm on Tuesday, March 24, in High Street, New Bradwell.

Police were called after reports a man pinned a woman against a blue Peugeot 307 by the throat before punching her to the face and knocking her to the ground.

He then tried to push and drag her into the car, before punching her again several times, until she broke away and crossed on to Bradwell Road.

The offender then followed the woman in the car, before pulling into a bus stop where he dragged the victim on to a grassed area at the entrance to Permayne and further assaulted her.

The victim was last seen walking up Permayne but has not since been located or identified.

She is white, in her 20s, about 5ft 4ins, with medium length straight blonde hair.

The offender is black, in his mid to late 20s and was wearing a blue T-shirt.

The offender was heard shouting during the incident, which took place over the course of about 15 to 20 minutes. Police would like to speak to anyone who was in the area during the time and witnessed the incident.
