Wolverton Town Band continues ‘re-birth’

Wolverton Town Band continues its ‘re-birth’ with a new and more striking logo.

It has been inspired by:

The statue of the phoenix in The Square in Wolverton, which represents the revitalisation of the town.

The hope that the band will be re-born and go from strength to strength.

The band’s traditional colours of red and black.

The new logo is being rolled out and will start to appear on posters and publicity in the coming weeks. It follows on from the recent appointment of a new Musical Director, a re-launched website, better publicity and the use of social media such as Twitter for the first time to spread the word.

The new logo has been launched during what is hoped will be a year of significant development and, to help in its growth, the band is looking for new players of all abilities.

It especially needs experienced solo cornet, trombone, euphonium and bass players.

The main band practises on Monday evenings so, if you can play a brass instrument and fancy joining a friendly, local brass band, please get in touch with Cherry Harris by emailing cherry@cherpers.plus.com or by phone on 01908 668239
