Woman arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in Fishermead

Police have arrested a woman on suspicion of attempted murder following an incident in the Fishermead area of Milton Keynes yesterday morning.

Police were called to an address in Padstow Avenue at 6.45am on Thursday after reports of an altercation.

Two women, aged 53 and 37, were taken to hospital with serious injuries. The 37-year-old woman remains in hospital.

The 53-year-old woman, who is from Birmingham, has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

Following the incident, Milton Keynes police commander Barry Halliday said: “I would like to reassure people in the Fishermead community that this incident is not linked with any others and appears to have been contained within one property.

“The two women were known to each other and so enquiries are continuing to work out the exact circumstances of this incident.”
