Dawn Fisher, 28, is inviting everyone spending Christmas alone this year to go to her flat in Newton Leys and celebrate the festive season.

Dawn started the Facebook group ‘Milton Keynes Lean on Me’ to bring people together and volunteer at a number of charities.

This Christmas, Dawn is opening her flat to anyone who is alone and is interested in meeting new people, having a drink and getting into the Christmas spirit.

She explains: “I’ve been through so much I really wanted to invite people who have nowhere else to go.

“I want people to know that they don’t have to be on their own, they can come down and have a good time.”

Donations have come rolling for Dawn and her open flat proposal. The donations include three Christmas trees, an assortment of decorations, food, and volunteer cooks.

Dawn will open her flat from midday on December 25. She will welcome anyone who is spending Christmas alone to spend time together, enjoy food and get to know each other.
