Woman pulled from burning house and two others jump to safety

One person was rescued from a first-floor window and two others jumped to safety after a house in Coffee Hall was engulfed in flames last night (Tuesday).

The alarm was first raised at 4.22am and five fire crews from Bletchley, Broughton and Great Holm raced to the scene in Daniels Welch where they found the two-storey mid-terrace house completely ablaze.

Firefighters used a ladder to rescue a woman suffering from the effects of breathing in smoke from a first-floor window and gave her oxygen.

Another woman and a man jumped to safety - the woman suffered a suspected broken leg and the man was uninjured.

Adjoining properties also suffered smoke damage and a number of neighbours were treated by paramedics for the effects of breathing in smoke.
