A 32-YEAR-OLD woman has been raped as she made her way back from a night out in Central Milton Keynes early yesterday morning.

Thames Valley Police is now appealing for any witnesses to the rape which happened between 3.30am and 4am. She was walking from Xscape towards Fishermead looking for a taxi to take her home when a car stopped and she got in the front passenger seat, thinking it was a taxi.

The man took her to an area she thought was a car park in an industrial unit in Linford Wood where she was raped. He then drove her to an area near her home and she returned to her home address.

The driver is described as a light-skinned Asian man, with stubble and dark hair. He spoke clear English with a slight accent.

Detective Inspector Nick Glister, overseeing the investigation, said: “We are keen to hear from anyone who saw any suspicious activity or anyone matching the man’s description in the area.

“While we do not want to cause alarm, we think it would be prudent for people to take extra care and remain vigilant when out and about in the city centre at night.”

Anyone with information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
