Women in Milton Keynes urged to get active

Women in Milton Keynes can try out a variety of activities as part of a national campaign encouraging women to be more active.

The GET INto programme runs until May 17 and activities include korfball, circuit training, cycling and netball in a bid to get women to do the recommended 150 minutes of activity per week.

The programme is inspired by the Sport England ‘This girl can’ campaign.

Vicki Clark, Milton Keynes Council sports development manager said: “This is a great time of year to get active, with lighter evenings and summer just around the corner, so we’re challenging the women of Milton Keynes to do just that.

“There are some fantastic opportunities in the local area, why not join your friends and try something new.”
