Reaching the grand old age of 101 has proved a real tonic for great grandad Owen Fensom.
For while the rest of us look older by the year, Owen is looking YOUNGER, say his family.
“Honestly, you would never believe he is 101. He looks better than he’s done for years,” said Owen’s son David.
He and his sister Yvonne attribute their dad’s youthfulness to a recent move to an OAP home.
Born in Stony Stratford, Owen spent all his life in the town and lived almost independently until earlier his year.
“Life is more relaxing for him now and he can rest more. It’s done him the world of good,” said David.
Owen spent his entire 50 year career at Wolverton Works, working as a builder in the maintenance team.
He was secretary of the AWBTW union for decades and spent his spare time working as a jobbing builder around town.
Widowed more than 20 years ago, he has two children, four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
