New secondary school set to open in Milton Keynes next year

Work will start next month on a new 1800-pupil secondary school to serve the Western expansion area of Milton Keynes.

The contract to build the school was this week awarded by MK Council to John Graham Construction Ltd.

Work will start in November and be completed ready for the first students to start in September next year.

The school will be run by The Denbigh Multi Academy Trust (MAT),There will be a parent drop off, sports hall and sports pitches, including an all weather pitch.

The catchment area will serve the Western Expansion Area and include Whitehouse and Fairfields.

Zoe Nolan, Cabinet member for Children, said: “This project is a key part of the council’s continued investment in the growth of MK and its plan to deliver.”
