The Friends reunion show will be filmed in March 2021 - according to Matthew Perry
The hotly anticipated Friends reunion episode has been given a new filming date.

Hide AdCast member Matthew Perry (who played Chandler) confirmed that the one-off special of the hit TV show will begin filming in March 2021.
The episode was originally due to start filming in August, but was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The actor shared the news on Twitter, saying, “Friends reunion being rescheduled for the beginning of March. Looks like we have a busy year coming up.”

‘It’s happening’
Rumours of the possible reunion first appeared online when Jennifer Anniston (Rachel) posted a photo of the cast together online.

Hide AdThe news was confirmed in February, when all six cast members shared the same post on social media, along with the caption, “It’s happening.”

However, those wishing for a new scripted episode of the iconic sitcom may be left disappointed. Reports have revealed that it will be an unscripted reunion special.

Hide AdIt will be the first time that all six cast members will be together in the same room and given space to talk about the show since filming ended.
Courtney Cox, who played Monica on the programme, said on the Kevin Nealon web series Hiking with Kevin, “It's going to be great. We really haven't all done that and actually sat there and talked about and reminisced about this incredible experience that we had."
Filming of the Friends special will take place on the show's original soundstage, Stage 24, on the Warner Bros lot in Burbank, California.
The resulting show will air on the streaming platform, HBO Max, with a release date yet to be revealed.
