Watch as Good Morning Britain guest Iain Dale storms off the show during heated debate

Iain Dale, the radio presenter and broadcaster, stormed off Good Morning Britain today after complaining of being talked over.

The panel, which also consisted of Nihal Arthanayake and Grace Blakeley, were discussing Jonty Bravery, the teenager who threw a child from the balcony of the Tate Modern in London last year.

It has now emerged that Bravery, who has autism, had previously told carers a year earlier of wanting to push someone from a tall London landmark.

Blakeley blamed the attack on a lack of funding in the care industry, and said that Bravery needed better care.

But Dale disagreed, and attempted to cut several times before calling Blakeley’s comments "nonsense".

After he was spoken over by Blakeley and Arthanayake he said: “Fine, I won’t speak.”

Presenter Kate Garraway attempted to ask him to placate him by saying: “No, I want you to.”

But Dale refused and pulled his microphone off before walking from the set.

I enjoy my early mornings on @GMB with @Jacqui_Smith1 because they’re all about civilised discussion. Today’s was not. It was about closing me down. I decided it wasn’t worth hanging around. Apologies to @kategarraway, @benshephard & @CharlotteHawkns but enough is enough.

Following the incident, Dale tweeted: “I enjoy my early mornings on @GMB with @Jacqui_Smith because they’re all about civilised discussion. Today’s was not. It was about closing me down. I decided it wasn’t worth hanging around. Apologies to @KateGarraway, @benshephard and @charlotteHawkns but enough is enough.”

Bravery has admitted attempted murder after throwing the French child, who has spent months in intensive care, from the viewing platform in August.
