Milton Keynes Tennis Club are feeling justifiably proud of three boys who have been selected to represent Bucks against nine other counties at Queenswood School (Brookmans Park) this weekend.
James Arnall, 9, and Dylan Smith and Marcus Persaud, both 11, have been training at the city club for more than three years, taught by head coach Stuart Lovell and his team.
Dylan and Marcus have recently been selected for the 11 and under Bucks County boys team, making this Dylan’s third year at county level. James has only just gone up to Green Ball (10U) last month, so to get picked for the 10 and under Bucks team is an outstanding achievement.
MK Men’s captain Tony Johnston said: “It’s great that we have such strong juniors at the club. Our Men’s team includes six former MKTC juniors and has won the Bucks championship for the past two years.”
Juniors wanting to share in this success can join the summer programme or holiday camps, contact Stuart Lovell on 07714 398977 for more details.
On Monday the club is holding their May Day Tournament from 10-1pm when the boys will be competing with the adults. All are welcome and for more details call Tony on 07831 023549.
