TEENAGER Fallon Sherrock has only been playing darts for 18 months but has just been crowned Words Darts Federation Youth Cup champion.
The 18 year-old from Milton Keynes represented England at the World Cup in Ireland last weekend and picked up both the singles and mixed pairs titles, which also helped her national side to take the overall world title.
Sherrock sealed a 6-0 victory over South African Courtney Mulder in the girls singles final and with Jake Jones saw off a duo from Germany 6-3 in the mixed pairs – those successes helping England top the overall table ahead of the likes of Australia, Norway and the Nertherlands.
It’s been a quite remarkable rise to the top of the youth game for Fallon, who also won the European doubles title with twin sister Selicia earlier in the year. They still play for the Bucks Senior Ladies county side, but both have far bigger ambitions of one day making a career out of professional darts.
