Phoebe Allen returned from the DSE National Junior and Youth Disability Swimming Championships in Sheffield with two medals.

The 11-year-old, who had her left leg amputated below the knee in 2010, took silver in the 50m butterfly in a time of 51.01s, and bronze in the 50m freestyle in 40.38s.

The Lord Grey pupil also recorded new personal best times in the 50m breaststroke and 50m backstroke events, but missed out on medals in 8th and 5th respectfully.

Phoebe, who learned to swim at Bletchley & District when she was six, earned the right to swim at the nationals when she set qualifying times at the East Region Championships in Newmarket in September.
