Darts wonderkid Billy Holmes has earned a helping hand in his bid to reach the top after being signed up by a sports management company that will pay his expenses for the next six years.
The 13-year-old has signed with JBD Sports Agents who have pledged their support to the Hazeley Academy student from the day he turns 14.
Billy the Kid has taken the darts world by storm over the last two years – having first picked up a set of arrows at the age of nine – and has even caught the attention of sports promoter Barry Hearn.
Billy will now join the PDC Youth Tour, and JBD boss Jess Harding is tipping him for big things in the future.
He said: “I saw him playing at the Circus Tavern and liked him straight away. He has got a spark about him.
“I sincerely believe he has got something about him. It’s a big opportunity for him.”
