Anwar stars as Stony climb up to seventh

Kamran Anwar was the star with bat and ball as Stony Stratford sailed up the Northants Premier Division with a fine win over Wollaston.
Stony have stuttered throughout the season seeking consistency, but have edged themselves away from the relegation zone in recent weeks. Anwar took 2-40 with the ball as Wollaston posted a fine 238-7, including a 115 run partnership for the second wicket.
Though Stony’s wickets were fairly free falling, everyone made a mark on the scorecard, none more so than Anwar whose 53 helped the home side to a two wicket win (239-8).
Victory sees Nick Allen’s side climb to seventh in the standings with five games remaining.
