Nadine Lewecky, who has shown excellent form since joining MMKAC last December, clocked 3hours 00.13 in the Paris Marathon.
She improved her personal best by 15 minutes but was hoping to break the exclusive 3-hour barrier. Nadine placed 1142nd (29th lady) from the huge field of over 42,000. This is the 7th fastest marathon time by an MMKAC woman.
Nearer home in the Sandy ten miler, Sharon Edghill clocked 91.66 whilst Brian Gilks set a club M80 record of 2hrs19.22.
Across the Atlantic Joey Duck opened her summer season by winning the 100m and 200m races at the Meza Classic in Arizona. Both her times(11.65) and (23.59) were close to her personal bests.
