MMKAC got off to a great start in their defence of the Chiltern Cross-country League One title with victory in the opening round.
The senior men scored a very empathic victory in their 5miles race with two ascents of Shotover Hill.
They put their scoring ten in the first 44 from some 300 finishers. Steve Tuttle made a bold attempt for individual victory leading around the first lap but was overhauled by Ben Davies (Bedford) on the second circuit and had to settle for second place.
The club took an individual win in the senior ladies race with Elle Roche racing to victory and also saw Lara Bromilow in third place.
Best placed in the younger age groups were the under 15 girls finishing a close second to Chiltern Harriers.
In the boys age groups, the under 15s were the best placed, while the girls U15s game fourth.
The under 17s placed sixth while in the non-scoring under 11s race, Sam Oldroyd finished 8th and Max Holland 50th.
