Two running clubs got in their stride to raise money for Willen Hospice.

MK Lakeside Runners and Leighton Fun Runners teamed up for their annual Christmas Lights run on December 18, collecting money along the route.

Lorna O’Herlihy, fundraising manager at Willen Hospice, said: “The support and kindness from the residents of Summerhayes and those who visit the display is overwhelming and we’re always thrilled and so thankful to benefit from this amazing display that is now so firmly established as a ‘must see’ in the Milton Keynes Christmas calendar.

“Willen Hospice needs to raise £4.6million every year to be able to keep offering our level of support and care to patients and their families. 22 per cent of this is provided by the NHS with the rest being provided through donations and fantastic community events such as the Christmas light display at Summerhayes, which has raised an incredible total of over £30,000 across the years.”
