Some games this season will be 50-over exchanges rather than timed matches.

In the game at the Horsepond, Hayden Symmonds top scored for the visitors with 28 as Brickhill slumped to 135 all out, leaving an open goal for Banbury.

Finding wickets difficult to come by, Banbury made steady progress and were able to clear the score (137-6) after 36 overs for the full share of the points.

The result means Graeme Carter’s side slip down the table to seventh.

In Division 2, Wolverton Town were crushed by a rampant Cropredy side led by Jacob Heath.

While Jamil Raja scored 40 of Wolverton’s runs, Heath took an sensational 9-32 to reduce the visitors for just 72. The Cropredy reply (77-2) was swift, and they rattled the runs off in 15.2 overs. Sean Potter took both wickets for Wolverton.

It was better news for Great Brickhill 2nds as they just beat Bledlow Village to go top of Division 3. Jilesh Pattni top scored with 60 as Brickhill posted as lowly 147, but an excellent bowling performance from Hamid Miah, taking 4-51, left for a nail-biting finale, with Brickhill taking the decisive Bledlow wicket with a run to spare (146).
