Following her win at the Tri de Spice in Grenada, Claire Vallance was once again stood on the top step, this time at the Banbury Triathlon.
The deputy head teacher, who lives in Woburn, was first to cross the line in 1 hour 14 minutes in tough conditions for the competitors.
The first phase was a 750m swim in an open air 50m pool in rather cold conditions.
Next came the 20km bike section around the villages surrounding Banbury, but in very windy and wintry conditions - stark contrast to the recent event in the Caribbean. And it finished with a 5km run.
While the triathlon season may have only just begun, Claire already has four victories under her belt this season, adding win in Marlow and Eaton Dorney to her wins in the Caribbean and now Banbury.
