North Crawley are aiming to make it a five-star season by securing the Four Counties Division 1 crown for the fifth year in a row.

Their title defence begins this Saturday at home against Milton Keynes City - one of only two games in Division 1 this weekend.

The battle for the title has been nail-biting for the last few seasons, with North Crawley coming out on top late in the day.

And captain Richard Bryce hopes his side can continue their dominance of Division 1, but isn’t taking anything for granted.

“The level of competition has been getting stronger every year,” he said.

“Elstow are a great side, Milton Keynes ran us close and New City always give us a good game.

“There are a lot of teams out there who can make it a good division.

“But of course we’re looking to make it five in a row.

“We’ve looked good in winter nets, everyone is back and ready to go, and we’re really looking forward to the new season.”
