Stony Stratford dropped to second from bottom as they were crushed by Premier Division leaders Finedon on Saturday.
Stony’s miserable campaign so far has seen them pick up just one win from six, and wickets proved to be hard to come by too at Campbell Park.
Despite taking six along the way, Callum Berrill’s unbeaten 95 kept the scoreboard ticking over for Finedon as they knocked their way to 226-6. Kamram Anwar was the pick of the bowlers with 3-71.
While it appeared an achievable target to chase down, Stony were dealt an immediate blow losing James Pickles without a run on the board.
Wickets fell regularly as Shane Devoy took out the middle order on his way to figures of 4-25, while Stony were reduced for just 131, handing them a 95 run defeat and a drop down the table.
