MK BMX could clinch the East Anglian BMX championship as they go into the final round in Peterborough this weekend.
The riders go into the race of the season 30 points clear of Braintree Bullets at the top of the table.
Unlike conventional teams, where a rider is selected for a team place on the merit of their riding, the MK Evo team is open to any club member who is willing to commit to hard training, shows good attitude and displays good role model qualities to the racing club.
Finley Davies, Geoff Dingsdale, Jay Heath, Zara Lachlan, Luke Mendes, Harvey Davies, Liam, Ethan and Spencer Cremin, Jimmy Carleton and Nick Hill have been the first to step forward and have had a fantastic year racing on the National stage.
Chairman Marc Devereux said: “I’m delighted us being favourites for this year’s series and to stop the dominance of the Bullets who have took top spot for the last seven years.
“It has been an incredible year, the upsurge of new riders over the last few years.
“However, we’re not there yet and it’s going to take one last final push to tie the championship up.
“The introduction of Team MK Evo has proved a great success, I feel that removing the elitist persona of teams.”
