Team MK perform on home soil

Cyclocross returned to the Bowl at the weekend for round 4 of the Central Cyclocross League.

In the U10s Team MK’s Ruben Snelson put in his best performance of the year, only falling away from the leader on the last lap to finish 2nd. Ethan Stevenson took the final podium place with Henry Peet in 6th and Oscar Martin in 8th.

For the girls Elana-Rose Fereday was runner up with Evie-Louise Fereday in 4th.

Joel Corbishley finished runner up for the 2nd week running in the U12s with Jude Chamberlain taking the final podium position. The top 10 was rounded out by Pierre Botha.

For the girls Molli Keenor had her best finish of the year in 2nd place, with Emily Moon in 6th.

For the U14s, Nic Day worked hard for his 2nd consecutive win with Arhie Peet once again in 3rd. Skip Snelson Finished 6th with Matthew Dicks in 10th. In the girls category Aimme Zygo was 3rd.

Once again Elliot Haigh Was Team MK’s first rider home with his best finish of the year in 4th. Thomas Zygo was 6th and Jamie Lloyd 9th.

For the first time this year the club had riders in the junior category with Zinzan Heap finishing 6th followed by his brother Jonti in 7th.

By the time the adults took to the course the rain and previous racing meant the course conditions had deteriorated, resulting in a high number of non-finishers.

Dan Hippey was the highest finisher for MK in 24th with Grant Hughes-Dowdle finishing an impressive 4th in the Vets 40 category.

In the Vets 50 Graham Mackie had his best result of the year in 7th with Christina White just missing the podium to finish 4th in the Women’s race.
