Cyclo-cross returning to the Bowl

Cyclo-cross returns to Milton Keynes this weekend for round 13 of the Central Cyclocross league and the sixth and final round of the National Trophy.

After successfully hosting a round of the UCI Cyclocross world cup in 2014, the two day event held at the National Bowl will see local racers from the cities many clubs returning to action after round 12 was cancelled last weekend.

Riders from Team MK, North Bucks Road Club, Corley Cycles, and Equipe Velo are expected to be out in force on Saturday across the age categories.

For those unfamiliar with cyclo-cross, it is a combination of mountain biking, cross-country cycling and circuit (Criterium) racing.

The juniors get things underway at 10am on Saturday with spectators urged to arrive early.
