Agard scored the third in MK Dons' 3-2 win over Spennymoor Town in the first round of the FA Cup on Saturday - their first win at Stadium MK since March 5.

And with Dons sat 20th in League 1, Dons' record scorer hopes it will lead to more.

He said: "Hopefully now we can take this into the league. We always knew it was coming, it's just a shame it has taken so long.

"You have to respect the opposition whoever you play, prepare right and come out on the pitch like it's any other game.

"Fair play to Spennymoor, they've given us a right good game. We thought it was done and dusted early, but it never is until the very end. They came at us guns blazing in the last 10, but we got over the line and most importantly, we're in the hat for the next round.

"I'm an east London boy so anyone around there will be great, so I can get my family along!"

Dons have been without a manager for two weeks since the departure Karl Robinson, but Agard insists it is business as usual for the players.

He added: "It's nothing to do with us, we have to carry on what we're doing. We leave the decision making to the board and they'll get someone in soon."
