Kieran Agard earned the admiration of Paul Tisdale after shaking off a penalty miss to convert a second in Dons' 1-0 win over Exeter City.

The 28-year-old saw his 55th minute penalty brilliantly saved by Christy Pym after Dean Moxey's handball earned him a red card. But 11 minutes later, Jordan Stockley handled too, giving Agard the chance for redemption, which he took with aplomb.

It not only won the game, but also earned Tisdale bragging rights over his former club. But stepping up to take the second penalty after missing the first, Tisdale said Agard grew in his estimation.

"Kieran showed real nerve to take the second penalty," said the manager. "The first one was a really good penalty, it was right in the corner. But to step up and take the second one - well done him. Instantly, you know if he fails the second time, you know how it looks. But I admired him greatly for that."
