On Thursday morning, former Dons boss Karl Robinson was confirmed in charge of Charlton, a month after losing his job at Stadium MK. Dons are yet to appoint a replacement.

Robinson was 'influential' in bringing Barker to the club back in April 2014 as Head of Coaching - effectively assistant manager.

And while Barker has hinted that he would work with Robinson again, he said he wasn't sure about whether he'd be moving to The Valley.

"I honestly don't know," said Barker on Thursday. "I'm sure everyone connected to the club in the last six and a half years, as I do, wish him good luck after next Saturday.

"He was influential bringing me here. I'm sure everyone is delighted for him. It's a strange twist of fate that one of his first games will be MK Dons, and that it was a draw made three weeks ago featuring so many teams.

"But in terms of where I'll be - I don't know. I might even be watching some rugby."
