Callum Brittain has been told to Championship Barnsley after the Tykes met his release clause.

The 22-year-old signed a new contract with the club in the summer after being released as a free agent - a deal which included a release fee.

News of Brittain's departure comes just hours before kick-off at Fratton Park as Dons prepare to take on Portsmouth.

The defender made 122 appearances for the club since his debut in 2016.
