There is not a lot to tell about Jimmy Bullard's time as an MK Dons player, but the known joker revealed one prank which fell flat among his team-mates.

Bullard was winding down his career when he signed for Dons in August 2012 after two knee surgeries at Fulham and Hull.

After being released by Ipswich Town, Bullard penned a short-term deal with Karl Robinson's side but after just two appearances, he hung up his boots for good after a month.

But later in the year, Dons invited Bullard back for a celebrity pro-am darts event with some of his former team-mates and darts pros Adrian Lewis and Dennis Priestly. And after seeing a mascot dressed up for the charity event, Bullard decided he would try and get a smile out of the rest of the players.

Speaking on Sky Sports presenter Tubes' YouTube channel, Bullard explained: "I was at MK Dons and they put on a weird night, we were all playing darts, they had walk-on music and everything. Then there was this Tellytubby mascot and I thought it would be a great idea to two-foot it. So I've run up to it, launched it, his head rolled off, and the rest of the players looked at me like 'are you alright?!'

"It eas one of them that went down like a s*** sandwich but I thought it was hilarious."
