MK Dons could be in for a significant pay-day should Dele Alli's proposed move to Paris Saint-Germain go through.

The French champions, who reached the final of the Champions League earlier this summer, have reportedly been in talks with signing the England international from Tottenham.

Spurs completed the loan signing of Gareth Bale from Real Madrid last week, putting Dele's place in Jose Mourinho's squad at risk.

Any permanent move for the 24-year-old from Tottenham will mean a pay-day for MK Dons. Following his transfer from Stadium MK in January 2015, Dons included a 'sell-on' clause in the deal: a clause which Andrew Cullen confirmed was still in play last month.

"I'm often asked about the sell-on on Dele Alli if he were to leave Spurs," he said. "I cannot tell you because if I did, that sell-on could be compromised so it has to remain confidential."

The sale of Dele though is not a given though. Mourinho said he still fits into his plans, and will be playing on Tuesday night against Leyton Orient in the Carabao Cup third round.

Asked afterwards whether Alli had a future at Tottenham, the manager responded positively, saying: "Yes, of course. I want a balanced squad - that's what I want. He doesn't need to be sacrificed for that but a squad is a puzzle.

"He will play on Tuesday," added Mourinho. "He's fresh. He has to be motivated by being out of the squad for a couple of matches.

"Tuesday is a knockout game and it's a big opportunity for him to show how good he is because we know he is very good."
