Regan Poole says MK Dons are putting together the building blocks en route to becoming a much better side after their 1-1 draw with Lincoln City on Tuesday night saw them climb another place in League One.

Sitting 10 points clear of the relegation, Dons have picked up eight points from a possible 12, and with two away draws in a row, have also ended their rut on the road.

Rhys Healey scored his 10th goal of the season at Sincil Bank as he opened the scoring after just three minutes, but Dons were pegged back by Liam Bridcutt's wonderful effort midway through the first half as the spoils were shared.

Poole, making his first start since Boxing Day, said: "We're very happy, we played really well. It was a tough game in tough conditions, but I think we controlled it and I think there was only one team that looked like going on to win the game.

"It was a perfect start, everyone has confidence in Rhys because he scores every week, and it settled the nerves at bit. We believe in the way we play, and I think the results are showing.

"We're showing the building blocks of where we want to be, we still have a lot to improve. But if we can turn these draws away from home around like we did our home form, we'll be fine."
