No expectations on Russell Martin's side heading to Yorkshire on Saturday

When the team at the top of League One takes on the side in 18th, few will predict an upset. Russell Martin and George Williams believe otherwise though.

After Dons' recent revival and recovery to lift themselves away from the relegation zone, they have managed to spring a few surprises along the way. Wins over Portsmouth and Wycombe at Stadium MK upset the natural order since Martin took over, though their standing in League One does not really reflect how they have been playing of late.

Warne wary of Dons' threats after Stadium MK scare

Rotherham will be familiar with the problems Dons can cause them though. While their trip to Stadium MK saw them leave with three points, Paul Warne's side trailed 2-0 at the interval as Dons put together one of their best showings in the first half, before capitulating in the second to lose 3-2.

Martin said: "Their manager is a really good guy, and he said it was as good a 45 minutes as his side had faced, but they showed what they were about in that second half. They showed off their threats, and our guys will be aware of that and they'll be desperate to avoid it happening again.

"We have pride in what we do, and so do Rotherham. It's different to what we do, but they're really tough to play against. But we think we can go there and get something. It will be interesting especially after that first one.

"Most people outside of the building don't expect us to get anything, so it puts the pressure on them as they're fighting to get back to the Championship. Being top of the league, being the hunted is difficult. We're trying to achieve our own goals, but we go there with no expectation from anyone other than ourselves."

According to defender Williams, Dons are capable of causing problems for the Millers again on Saturday despite the gulf in the league positions.

He said: "Everyone is expecting them to get a result, but in our camp, we're all confident we can go there and cause an upset. We played them early on in Russ' tenure and the first half was excellent, second half was not so good but we've come on leaps and bounds.

"We're a team to be feared, we've had a good run of results and we'll be looking to put things right after Portsmouth.

"We have to be our best against everyone. We're in a relegation fight, every game will be huge for us."
