With a week between games, Russell Martin expects to have new faces in his squad before Charlton visit Stadium MK next Tuesday.

In the market for new defenders following the departure of Richard Keogh, the manager wants one, perhaps two more bodies to bolster his back line before the month is out.

Dons have already made Warren O'Hora a permanent member of the squad this week after a successful first half of the season on loan from Brighton.

"We've now got a week to get people fit and to bring new players into the club," said Martin after their 3-1 win over Fleetwood.

"We're moving! At this moment, it's not as close as we'd like but we will get there. It's difficult in January because other teams want to find replacements, and Covid is slowing everything but I'm confident by the end of January, we'll have one or two in that will really help us."
